The Monterey Bay Emergency Physicians are looking for a new ED doc to come join us out here on the Ragged Edge of the Western World. Our hospital – the Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula – is truly a gem in the Del Monte Forest, perched above the Pacific Ocean. We have 250 beds, a full call panel, and a great nursing staff. Our CEO is a pulmonologist, not an MBA. Our CMO is a thoracic surgeon who still operates and rounds in the ED every morning. Our ED expands up to 42 beds, and we also run a 12-bed observation unit. We have quintuple coverage during the day, and our 2021 volume was 50,500.

We are looking for a stellar full-time emergency physician — board certified/board eligible. Associate salary is competitive with two tracks to full Partnership: starting at either $185/hour for 3600 hours, or $225/hour for 5045 hours, with one step-up at the halfway point. Night differential of $25/hr. Partnership salary is productivity-based with minimal corporate overhead. Shifts are equitable and scheduling is fair. Full time is 12-15 eight-hour shifts/month.

Potential for needs-based recruitment package through the Montage Health Foundation. Professional Liability coverage is provided along with $2500 relocation bonus. Benefits include: health insurance, vision, short-term disability, sick leave and 401(k) Safe Harbor Plan with over 3% matching.
